A sacred 16-night pilgrimage along the great Buddhist sites — Bodh Gaya, Lumbini, Sarnath, Kushinagar, Vaishali, Rajgir, Nalanda, Kapilavastu and Shravasti — blending darshan, meditation, chanting, seva and discourse, so every step retraces the journey from Prince Siddhartha to the Buddha.

   Delhi — spiritual orientation

   Arrival, welcome and an introductory satsang on the life of the Buddha.

2. 2

   Delhi heritage darshan

   Raj Ghat, India Gate and a quiet meditation at the Lotus Temple before onward travel.

3. 3

   Shravasti

   Jetavana Monastery and the Ananda Bodhi Tree, with evening chanting of sutras.

4. 4

   Lumbini (Nepal)

   Mayadevi Temple, the Ashokan Pillar and a lamp-lighting ceremony at the birthplace.

   Kapilavastu & Kushinagar

   Siddhartha's childhood palace ruins, then the Mahaparinirvana Temple and Ramabhar Stupa.

6. 6

   Vaishali & Patna

   Buddha stupas and the Ashokan Pillar where the last sermon was given, with a village seva.

   Rajgir & Nalanda

   Vulture's Peak, the Saptaparni caves and the great Nalanda University ruins.

   Bodh Gaya — enlightenment

   Mahabodhi Temple, silent meditation under the Bodhi Tree and the evening aarti.

   Bodh Gaya — seva & learning

   International monasteries, food-distribution seva and a Dhamma talk by a senior monk.

    Varanasi & Sarnath

    Dawn Ganga boat ride, evening aarti and the Dhamek Stupa where the Wheel of Dharma first turned.

    Closing ceremony

    Reflection, the Metta Sutta for universal peace and a final lamp ceremony at Bodh Gaya.
